Retreats

A small group, one week, one place.

07:30 · the land

The land is still catching its breath.

Right now it's secondary growth — thin trees, vines, thick underbrush. We're clearing it selectively and turning it into a food forest, a mycology plot, and a kitchen fed by what grows on site. This first season you're not visiting a finished resort — you're watching the first chapter, and helping, if you want to.

from the Lago Bay airstrip to the land.

In town you get a bed. Here you get a place.

Fly from Panama City to Lago Bay and you're in your swimsuit before noon — not after the five-to-six-hour drive most Coiba visitors make. We don't run the dive boats; local partners do, and do it well. What's ours is what you come back to: the garden, the table, the quiet.

Dinner is the main event.

Food is half the reason to come. Every evening the fire gets lit, the long table gets set, and whatever the finca gave us that day ends up on it.
